Hosting Policies

The following information explains how AH Designs handles website hosting, transfers, account status, and related services for websites hosted on our servers. These guidelines help keep hosting services running smoothly while providing clear expectations for clients.

Website Hosting

AH Designs provides website hosting for many of the websites we design and manage. Our hosting environment is configured to help keep sites secure, updated, and running smoothly. Routine maintenance, updates, and backups may be performed to help maintain website stability and performance.

Website Transfers

If a client chooses to move their website or domain to another hosting provider, AH Designs is happy to assist with the transition.

Upon request, we can provide a full backup of the website files and database so the website can be transferred to the new hosting provider.

If additional assistance is requested to help set up or configure the website on the new hosting service, this work may require additional time and may be billed at our standard hourly rate. Once a website has been successfully transferred to a new hosting provider, ongoing maintenance, updates, or technical support would typically be handled by the client or their new hosting provider.

Hosting Payments

Website hosting services are provided on a recurring basis. If a hosting invoice becomes overdue, the website may be temporarily suspended after reasonable notice until the outstanding balance has been resolved.

Once payment has been received, the website can typically be restored and made active again.

Hosting Cancellation

If a hosting account is cancelled or a website is moved to another hosting provider, the website files may remain on our servers for up to 30 days to allow time for transition or backup purposes.

Clients are encouraged to request a backup before the 30-day period ends if they would like to keep a copy of the website files.

After this period, the website files may be permanently removed from our hosting environment.

Responsibility After Transfer

Once a website has been transferred or a full backup has been provided, the client or their new hosting provider becomes responsible for maintaining the website files, backups, and ongoing hosting.

If a website has been removed from our system and the client later decides to work with AH Designs again, a new website setup may be required.

Domain Names

Some domain names may be registered or managed through AH Designs, while others may be managed directly by the client or through another registrar.

If a domain name is managed through AH Designs and a client chooses to transfer it to another provider, we can assist with unlocking the domain and providing the required transfer authorization information.

If the domain name is managed through another provider or account, the client may need to work directly with that registrar to complete the transfer.

If a domain name is managed through a third-party provider or client account that AH Designs does not control, the client may need to work directly with that provider to recover account access or complete any domain management changes.

Policy Updates

These policies may be updated from time to time as hosting services, technologies, and business practices evolve.
