Humble Beginnings

AH Designs was started in 2003 by owner, Allan Hawkins. Allan had been doing graphic design in the corporate world for many years earlier with two large companies. His work experience ranges from creating product packaging, planograms, POP and counter displays that went into the large retailers such as Wal-Mart, Amazon, Office Depot, Staples, Wal-Greens, CVS, Hobby Lobby, Michaels, and AutoZone. Had also worked display graphics, ads, and floor layout and sales marketing tools in the largest trade shows in the US with Atlanta’s Gift Mart, and High Point in North Carolina as well as other shows in Chicago, New York, California to Florida.

In the beginning, Allan was running the business from a small room in his home in Cookeville, TN. Gradually and by word-of-mouth recommendations, the business grew in both size and capabilities. He relocated to an office in downtown Cookeville on the square where he could have more workers on site and more easily meet the needs of the customers. The beginning stages of AH Designs focused more on graphics and illustrations but eventually expanded to website design, search engine optimization, and more. AH Designs now has a team of experienced and talented members who help serve anyone from very small businesses and startups all the way to Fortune 500 companies in both the local area and internationally.
