Allan Hawkins
Owner and Founder of AH Designs
At Murray State, Allan was mentored by the late Joe Rigsby who was VP of Doe Anderson (the largest Advertising Firm in KY). Joe worked with fortune 500 companies and had tons of experience and stories that was worth gold to Allan. These business traits that Joe passed on to Allan are still being used as the foundation for AH Designs.
After finishing school with a degree in Commercial Art, Allan started off working in Louisville on the first Apple Computers with a small ad company. Later he worked for another company as an art director and manager for a national graphic house that handled all of the graphics, typesetting, and logo work for the copy centers across the southeast region of the United States for Staples and Office Depot. Later this company was sold and moved to Identity Group in Cookeville, TN, so Allan moved as well and worked this division until moving up to Company Art Director over the mass market products. When 911 happened, the country went into recession and Identity Group lost one of it’s biggest customers. Within a few weeks, many people lost their jobs (including Allan). From there Allan picked up work at Arts Unique as an Art Director handling national catalogs, ads, massive trade show displays. After a few years of working there, Arts Unique was still suffering from the 911 recession and closed its doors. After that, Allan decided to just go into business himself as Allan Hawkins Design Services.

Steve
Website Designer, SEO and Marketing Specialist
Steve has been helping with the design, marketing, and SEO at AH Designs for about five years. He grew up on a farm, so he has a strong work ethic. He attended a university in the north and graduated with a degree in Marketing and a minor in Business Management. While he was in college, he was running a jewelry company and doing an internship at Merrill Lynch. Steve has been running different businesses since he was about seven or eight years old, the most recent business designing watches. With his business/marketing background and strong work ethic, Steve is a great asset to the AH Design team.
Travis Phy
Website Designer and SEO Specialist
Travis is a web designer and SEO and social/business media specialist at AH Designs. He is a student at Tennessee Tech University studying Civil Engineering. With over 5 years of experience building and working on websites, Travis is far from a typical college student. He began building websites in his freshman year of high school by taking an introductory design class, and discovered that web design was incredibly fun. A Cookeville native, Travis began his website design/marketing career working for a business in Cookeville, and transitioned into his current role at AH Designs in December 2016. In his free time, Travis enjoys being outdoors and is an avid hiker, climber, and whitewater boater.
